Every cost on an F&O trade, on one page.
Most backtests die on costs, and most people model about half of them. This is the cheatsheet and the code from the video — the six statutory costs, what base each one is charged on, which side pays, and a function you can point at your own backtest.
What you get
- The cheatsheet, one page. Brokerage, STT, exchange transaction charges, stamp duty, the SEBI turnover fee and GST — each with its rate, the base it applies to, and whether it hits you on the buy or the sell.
- The cost function, as a notebook. Standalone, so it drops into any Indian futures or options backtest rather than just the one in the video.
- The slippage-sensitivity method. Nobody can look slippage up. This is how to report a result across several assumptions instead of quietly picking one.
Rates are dated in the footer of the sheet. They move — options STT went from 0.10% to 0.15% on 1 April 2026 — so check the date before you rely on an old copy.
